Wedding Vows inspired by Song of the Open Road by Walt Whitman
(Spouse's name), I give you my hand!
I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law;
Will you give me yourself? Will you come travel with me?
Shall we stick by each other as long as we live?
I promise you, my darling (spouse's name), that in the journey before us on this open road, I shall always stay by your side. You shall be the one and only companion that I will ever need on this road. I will make the journey for you full of joy, and you have my hand to hold and my shoulder to lean on as we take this road of life together, until death comes for us.
